Planning status
Planning permission is obviously mandatory for development projects. In some countries in certain circumstances it is relatively straight forward; in others it is more complex. For example in Poland there are areas – including in Warsaw – where there is no local development plan, which determines whether a plot is permitted for development. In this case planning applications must be made to local authorities after an appraisal of the likelihood planning permission will be granted. Urban development analysis
Crucial to the future value of the development is the surrounding infrastructure, for example transport links, and any planned investment in public infrastructure and/or new developments, schools, malls, etc. Validus can carry out an analysis of the prospects for the locality.

Survey and valuation
Depending on the planned development of the real-estate, different types of survey may be required. For example, some multi-storey developments require a geodesic survey of the land and in certain cases an archaeological survey may be required.
